SEELEY LAKE - It’s that time of year again when our community helps some of our Seeley Lake area children to have a happier Christmas. The Giving Tree will be set up in Cory’s Valley Market on Monday, Nov. 25.
Please visit the “Giving Tree” if you would like to help less fortunate children in this area this Christmas. The Mountain Lakes Presbyterian Church sponsors the annual “Giving Tree.”
Parents or guardians have indicated clothing items and toys that are needed and/or wanted by the children. There are two cards for each child (one for clothing, one for a toy) listing age, gender and a gift to purchase.
All you need to do is select a card, sign it out at the check stand and then purchase the item indicated on the card and bring the UNWRAPPED BOXED GIFT (together with the card you chose from the tree) to Cory’s Valley Market no later than Monday, Dec. 16. The gifts will then be wrapped, labeled and given to the families a few days before Christmas.
If you or someone you know with children (eighth grade or younger) living in the home is needing help, please tell them about the Giving Tree and ask them to call Betsey Ellis at 754-8741. Ellis will gather the information needed to have the children included. Names will remain confidential.
