SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley-Swan Lady Blackhawks headed into their Homecoming match with the Savage Heat of Hot Springs coming off a pair of victories last week against Granite and the Clark Fork Coop.
The Lady Blackhawks defeated Granite on the road Sept. 24 in three sets 25-18, 25-16 and 25-17. The Ladies then hosted Clark Fork Sept. 26 and defeated them in three sets as well 25-23, 25-19 and 25-14.
The Lady Blackhawks got off to a great start against Hot Springs with a solid 25-13 win in the first set but it was downhill from there. The Savage Heat took the next three sets 10-25, 16-25 and 14-25.
Offensively, Bethany Hoag led the Lady Blackhawks with 7 kills and Sariah Maughan led with 3 aces and 5 assists.
On the defense Maughan had 4 solo blocks and led with 9 digs while Taylor Dillree had 9 serve returns.
This week the Lady Blackhawks host Valley Christian Oct. 4 with JV staring at 5:30 p.m. Then they travel to St. Regis with JV staring at 4:30 p.m.
