The Seeley-Swan Lady Blackhawks shut out the Trojans Sept. 19 in Drummond before heading to Arlee Sept. 21 for an all day tournament.
The Lady Blackhawks defeated Drummond in three sets 25-16, 25-23 and 25-15 to take the non-conference match.
Klaire Kovatch pounded in 8 kills against the Trojans while Sariah Maughan had the highest hit percentage with 6 kills in 25 attempts with 5 errors. Trista Wendel scored 2 of the team’s 4 aces and had just 1 error out of 21 attempts.
On the net, Kovatch led the Ladies with 4 solo blocks and 10 assisted blocks.
It was a team effort when it came to digs. Wendel was credited with 11 and Maughan, Aspen Conley, Taylor Dillree and Emma Stevenson all had 10 each.
In Arlee the Lady Blackhawks defeated Granite and St. Regis but was taken out of the tournament by Deer Lodge.
This week the Lady Blackhawks have a busy week traveling to Philipsburg Sept. 24. They then host Clark Fork Sept. 26 with JV staring at 5:30 p.m. and host Hot Springs for Homecoming Sept. 28 with JV staring at 5 p.m.
