Heidi Van Diest's entry won first place in the Huckleberry Baking Contest adult division. It is a layered huckleberry dessert of sponge cake, gelee and a glaze.
Many huckleberry products were available for sale at the annual Huckleberry Festival Aug. 10 including huckleberry lemonade. Visitors could also find huckleberry cotton candy, pies made from the berries or in combination with other fruits and huckleberry ice cream.

Nine adults and four children participated in this year's Huckleberry Baking Contest. Six-year-old Summer Laslovich, pictured with her brother Cooper who also entered, won first place in the children's division with her huckleberry cupcakes.
Breakfast entrees featuring huckleberry pancakes were available for visitors to the Huckleberry Festival held in Swan Lake Aug. 10.
The Ashley Creek Ramblers entertained a crowd of Huckleberry Festival goers on August 10. Many danced and sang along to songs like "Hokey Pokey" and old popular country western tunes.

SWAN LAKE - The 38th Annual Swan Lake Huckleberry Festival featured an assortment of huckleberry products, nearly 50 vendors selling hand-made items including jewelry, furniture and art work, game area hosted by Swan Lake Chapel and music by the Ashley Creek Ramblers. Proceeds from the Festival will be used for the Swan Lake community and the upkeep of the Swan Lake Community Center.
