SEELEY LAKE - Donate by July 26th to the Change Your Pace Challenge to grow your contribution to Seeley Lake!
The Change Your Pace (CYP) Challenge runs through 5pm on July 26, leaving just a few days to increase the power of a donation to your favorite local cause(s), with the help of the CYP Match Fund.
The Seeley Lake Community Foundation's fourth-annual Change Your Pace Challenge is a campaign for community-wide giving, celebrating the people and organizations that make our community great. Fourteen local organizations are participating this year, raising money for important projects during this 6-week fundraising challenge. The Change Your Pace Challenge motivates community members to give to their favorite participating local organizations, knowing their gifts will grow larger thanks to the CYP Match Fund. Since 2016, over $258,000 in funding for Seeley Lake area organizations have come in through the annual Change Your Pace Challenge.
Foundation Executive Director Claire Muller says, "We're excited to have over $10,000 in the CYP Match Fund this year! Anyone can give to the CYP Match Fund, and help all 14 organizations with one gift. A special thank you goes to Energy Partners, a headlining sponsor of this year's CYP Match Fund. Lake Country Builders has also made a great contribution to the 2019 CYP Match Fund. Foundation is proud to encourage community philanthropy and increase support for all the great work our local groups are doing!"
After the donation period closes on July 26th, each organization's donation totals will be tallied, and the match percentage will be calculated based on how big the CYP Match Fund grows. Participating organizations will be recognized through a check-presentation ceremony at the Seeley Lake Community Foundation Annual Banquet on August 11th at the Double Arrow Lodge.
2019 participating CYP organizations: Alpine Artisans, Blackfoot Challenge, Clearwater Resource Council, Seeley Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, SSHS Destinations for Education, Seeley Lake Community Foundation, Seeley Lake Elementary Community Park, Seeley Lake Historical Museum and Visitors Center, Seeley Lake ROCKS!, Seeley Lake Senior Center (Sela Senci), Sparrow's Vine, Swan Valley Connections, Upper Swan Valley Historical Society and Veterans and Families of Seeley Lake.
Congratulations to Alpine Artisans, the fireworks fund for the Seeley Lake Chamber of Commerce, Sparrows Vine, and Swan Valley Connections, which have each raised over $5,000 through the 2019 Change Your Pace Challenge so far (the maximum limit for donations to qualify for dollars from the CYP Match Fund).
Donate online through the Foundation website or mail checks, made out to the Seeley Lake Community Foundation and accompanied by the Donor Form section of the CYP brochure (available at: http://www.seeleylakecommunityfoundation.org/change-your-pace-challenge ) to Seeley Lake Community Foundation, P.O. Box 25, Seeley Lake, MT 59868. You can also stop by the Foundation office at 3150 MT Hwy 83 N, Seeley Lake to drop off your donation.
