SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley Lake Community Foundation's Change Your Pace Challenge is a campaign for community-wide giving, celebrating the people and organizations that make our community great. During this six-week fundraising period, June 14-July 26, the Change Your Pace Challenge motivates community members to give to their favorite participating local nonprofits, knowing the impact of their gift will grow thanks to the CYP Match Fund.
Fourteen local organizations are participating this year, raising money for important projects to benefit the Seeley Lake area. All donations go through the Seeley Lake Community Foundation, allowing donors to support as many organizations as they wish, using one donation form.
In anticipation of the CYP Challenge opening this Friday, June 14, the Seeley Lake Community Foundation will be mailing out a CYP Donor Brochure to all Seeley Lake and Condon post office boxes this week. Beginning June 14, supporters can give online through the SLCF website, both to participating CYP organizations and the CYP Match Fund.
SLCF Executive Director Claire Muller said, "The 2019 Change Your Pace Challenge will kick off with over $8,000 in the CYP Match Fund and we're excited to see that amount grow more throughout the next six weeks. A special thank you goes to Energy Partners, a headlining sponsor of this year's CYP Match Fund. Lake Country Builders has also contributed to the 2019 CYP Match Fund. SLCF is proud to encourage community philanthropy and increase support for all the great work our local groups are doing. Anyone can give to the CYP Match Fund and help all 14 organizations with one gift!"
2019 participating CYP organizations include: Alpine Artisans, Blackfoot Challenge, Clearwater Resource Council, Seeley Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, SSHS Destinations for Education, Seeley Lake Community Foundation, Seeley Lake Elementary Community Park, Seeley Lake Historical Museum and Visitors Center, Seeley Lake ROCKS!, Seeley Lake Senior Center (Sela Senci), Sparrow's Vine, Swan Valley Connections, Upper Swan Valley Historical Society and Veterans and Families of Seeley Lake.
After the donation period closes on July 26th, each organization's donation totals will be tallied and the match percentage will be calculated based on how big the CYP Match Fund grows. Participating organizations will be recognized through a check-presentation ceremony at the Seeley Lake Community Foundation Annual Banquet on Aug. 11 at the Double Arrow Lodge.
