Grand opening June 15 for new Seeley Lake Community Foundation building

SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley Lake Community Foundation would like to invite the community to the grand opening of our new community space on Saturday, June 15th. There will be an open house from 12 - 3 p.m., with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1 p.m. The new Seeley Lake Community Foundation building is located in the former Deer Country Quilts building, at 3150 Highway 83.

SLCF mailed out a Save the Date for the grand opening to all Seeley Lake property owners last week. View the announcement, and more information about the project online at http://www.slcfmt.org/a-new-home

The grand opening of the new Seeley Lake Community Foundation will be an opportunity to see the beautiful interior craftsmanship accomplished this spring, and to help us dream about the potential for what this invigorating new space can mean for Seeley Lake! Come explore the new home of the Missoula Aging Services Seeley-Swan Resource Center, the Seeley Lake Area Chamber of Commerce visitor center, Missoula County Weeds District, and the Seeley Lake Community Foundation. We're working to make this beautiful log building, in the heart of downtown Seeley Lake, into a hub for community activities and a centralized location for residents and visitors to access important services.

The building will be one of the first structures in Seeley Lake connected to high-speed fiber internet. This will greatly enhance our internet connectivity, allowing groups to provide better services to the people of Seeley Lake.

To learn more about spaces still available in this exciting endeavor, contact SLCF Executive Director Claire Muller at (406) 677-3506 or cmuller@slcfmt.org

The Seeley Lake Community Foundation and Missoula Aging Services Seeley-Swan Resource Center moved into the new space last week. Because work is still wrapping up at the building, SLCF asks for understanding as we transition into our new home. Linda Howard, the Missoula Aging Services Seeley-Swan Resource Specialist, won't be taking appointments in the new space until June 10th. Please call ahead to schedule time with her; no drop-ins, please. Howard can be reached at (406) 541-7688.

The Seeley Lake Community Foundation exists to support local nonprofit organizations, and connect and grow resources for the Seeley Lake area. In this capacity, SLCF strives to be a community resource and a catalyst for innovative approaches to improving the quality of life here.
