St. Patrick's Day dinner a success

SEELEY LAKE – The Seeley Lake Senior Center hosted their annual St. Patrick's Day Dinner March 17. Senior Center President Boyd Gossard said the event went very well and all the proceeds will support the general operating budget for the Senior Center.

The Seeley-Swan High School Leos Club helped with the event for the second year. They had six students that helped Saturday night and Sunday during the main event.

"They were a tremendous help. I just can't say enough about those kids and all the work they did," said Gossard. "They were just really good."

Attendees enjoyed a dinner of corned beef, cabbage and Irish stew, silent auction, cake walk and a 50/50 drawing. Seeley Lake resident Tim Clark won $227.50 in the 50/50 drawing.

"A big thank you to all the folks that helped out and attended. It was really well done and helps the Senior Center a lot," said Gossard. "The funds will be incorporated into our general operating funds to keep things up and running."

Through March, the seniors are also raising funds to support Meals on Wheels.
