Seeley Lake Ranger District vandalized during shutdown

SEELEY LAKE - During the government partial shutdown, the Seeley Lake Ranger District was vandalized. Vandal(s) used white spray paint to deface the front of the Ranger District Office and the Stop sign on Highway 83. The incident was reported on Monday, Jan. 14. Federal Officer Tyler Robinson said it didn't appear that anything else was damaged.

Law enforcement is continuing to work through the investigation. Once the furlough ends and District employees return to work, the District will determine the best method to remove the graffiti.

Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to call Robinson at 406-677-3933. There is a possible reward for information.
