SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley Lake Community Foundation is proud to announce a $1,000 scholarship award to Shane Lindemer.
Lindemer was born and raised in Seeley Lake. He participated in school sports and community activities. While attending Seeley-Swan High School, Lindemer excelled in football, basketball, golf and the Nordic Ski Team. Maintaining a 3.5 GPA, he was inducted into the National Honor Society as well as received an Outstanding Academic Achievement Award.
Lindemer is currently attending Gallatin Community College in Bozeman. His goal is to graduate with all the requirements needed to become a professional private pilot. Funds from this scholarship will help pay for flight training costs, helping him achieve his goal! We are delighted to sponsor a small part of his education.
The Seeley Lake Community Foundation has provided over $12,000 in scholarships to Seeley-Swan students since 2006. The scholarship is designed for students who have graduated from Seeley-Swan High School and have finished at least one year of college or trade school. The scholarship is meant to assist with costs incurred at a college, university or technical school. 2019 applications will be available in March on the SLCF website.
