Community musicians wanted

SEELEY LAKE – The Seeley-Swan High School band invites community members to join the high school band for their concert Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. in the SSHS auditorium. For more information contact Music Director Bob Green at SSHS, 677-2224.

Harvest Festival, Oct. 26

Swan Valley – Join Swan Valley Elementary School for a Harvest Festival Friday, Oct. 26. Enjoy a delicious spaghetti dinner from 5-6:30 p.m. The cost is $5 per person or $20 per family of four or more.

Carnival games will run from 6-8 p.m. Games are $0.25-$0.50 each and include a cake walk, guessing jar, photo booth, face painting and more. Costumes are optional.

The Swan Valley Parent Teachers Association is hosting the festival. The proceeds from the spaghetti dinner will help support the sixth through eighth graders Montana History Trips.

Trunk-or-Treat, Oct. 31

SEELEY LAKE – The fifth annual Seeley Lake Trunk-or-Treat is back Halloween night at the Wilderness Gateway Motel on the south end of Seeley Lake. Decorate a vehicle and hand out goodies or dress up the children and come down for fun and treats.

Set up starts at 4 p.m. All trunks should be in place by 5:45 p.m. Guests are welcome starting at 6 p.m.

Early sign up for trunks is preferred since there is a limited number of space available. Check the Seeley Lake Trunk-or-Treat Facebook page for updates and let them know you will be bringing a trunk.

SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley Lake Library Book Club will discuss Arundhati Roy’s “The Ministry of Utmost Happiness” Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 11 a.m. Picked by many as one of the best books of 2017, this novel explores the lives of a wide range of characters living in India who have been broken by the world they live in and then rescued and patched together by acts of love and hope. All are welcome to join in the discussion. Books are available at the checkout desk.

The Seeley Lake Library is a branch of Missoula Public Library located at Seeley-Swan High School. The library is open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.

The library will be closed Tuesday, Nov. 6 for Election Day.
