Reply to Waldron's criticism

I am writing in reply to Waldron’s letter criticizing and denigrating the owners of the Pathfinder before Andi and Nathan took over.

Waldron has a very short memory. The previous owners were our daughter and her husband, Caroline and Dwight Jenkins.

They increased the number of pages from the eight cited by Waldron to 24 at times. Dwight spent most of his time taking, publishing and winning awards for his photographs. Caroline introduced colored photographs for the first time. The paper during their ownership won multiple awards for its articles, photographs and layout.

Caroline never missed an edition throughout their ownership and during the evacuation from the Jocko Lakes Fire, she produced the paper from a hotel room in Missoula while also tending to three young children camped out at the hotel.

During their ownership their young family increased from one to four young children and Dwight continued to serve in the Navy Reserve, sometimes returning to active duty leaving Caroline alone to produce the weekly paper and raise their young family.

I respect and endorse Waldron for commending and congratulating the Bournes for how they have developed the paper during their ownership. But to do so by negatively and falsely criticizing the previous owners who happen to be my family, is a sad and regrettable commentary by a disgruntled reader.

Sincerely,

Patrick Constantinides
