SEELEY LAKE – At the Seeley Lake Community Council meeting Monday, Sept. 10, Sheriff T.J. McDermott will introduce Seeley Lake’s new local deputy Ryan Dunster. Deputy Dunster is looking for a place to live in Seeley Lake with his wife and three children.
Next will be a presentation by Amber Sherrill of Five Valleys Land Trust who will speak in favor of the proposed Open Space Bond. Following Sherrill, Republican candidate for re-election to MT House District 92 Mike Hopkins will speak in opposition to the bond.
After that USFS District Ranger Rachel Feigley will give her regular update on Forest Service activities.
Jim McLean, President of ROCKS, will talk about how the Council’s Trails Committee might be integrated with ROCKS without conflicting with the existing Trails Committee projects.
Finally, Claire Muller, the new Executive Director of the Seeley Lake Community Foundation, will introduce herself and review past and planned activities of the Foundation.
Like always, there will be an opportunity for public comments on non-agenda items.
The informal part of the meeting will start at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Sept.10, at the Seeley Lake Historic Museum and Visitor’s Center, 2920 Highway 83, with pizza and water. The formal meeting will begin at 6 p.m.
