Hi, friends and neighbors! I’d like to thank everyone in Seeley Lake and surrounding areas for your support and votes in the Democratic Primary, June 5th! I look forward to continuing what I’ve been doing, which is attending meetings, events, meeting one-on-one with folks and listening to your concerns for our rural District.
I knocked on more than 2,000 doors in the primary and enjoyed the conversations we had, including with Republicans and Independents. Your thoughts and ideas are important to me. Regardless of your party, whether you’re a Republican, Independent or Democrat, if I win this seat in November, I’ll be representing EVERYone!
It’s been a pleasure meeting with all of you and I will continue to do so, hoping to meet with everyone between now and November. Please feel free to speak your mind. I’m very accessible and I want to hear what you have to say.
I will be attending the “Inside Fire” presentation, hosted by the Clearwater Resource Council and Blackfoot Challenge Thursday, June 14, at 7 p.m., in Seeley Lake at the Historical Barn. Come join us! I’d love to talk to you before and/or after the presentation.
Also, I plan to attend the workshop, “How Your Home Can Survive a Wildfire,” hosted by the Clearwater Resource Council and Clearwater Partners, Thursday, June 21, at 7 p.m., at the Seeley Lake Community Center. I’ll show up early and stay late, so please come and talk to me if you get a chance!
I’d like to give a special thanks to Duane “Cecil” Schlabach, my Democratic contender in the Primary, who ran a clean and honorable race. We agreed to run on our own merits, running “no harm” campaigns. I’m grateful to have been challenged by such a worthy opponent (if opponent is the word you can use for someone on your own team...).
I enjoyed running into Cecil at lots of the meetings and events we attended. One in particular stands out; we met in Missoula for a candidates Meet & Greet at the Imagine Nation Brewery and ended up being the last two there, visiting with each other. Someone had pointed out to us that the Independent had just done an article on candidates and had an article on HD 92. We were puzzled to find ourselves absent from the article until we read it. Our campaigns have been going along too peacefully to make the news. I guess we weren’t controversial enough to make the news feed, so no news is good news.
Thank you, Cecil, for standing by our handshake agreement when we first met. It’s been a pleasure working with you and I look forward to working with you going forward!
I hope to have the pleasure of serving Everyone as our Representative in the State Legislature for House District 92. Thank you!
Lee Bridges
Democrat for HD92
Missoula, Mont.
