Council To Discuss Trail Committee Next Monday

SEELEY LAKE - The future of the Seeley Lake Community Council’s Trail Committee will be the topic at the next Council meeting. Committee Chair Ron Cox and the Council have been contemplating transferring its Trails Committee projects and funds to another organization in Seeley Lake, yet to be identified, that also is active with trails.

The Council has also invited Montana Department of Transportation to attend the meeting and speak about the planned repairs to Highway 83, what the new bridge across Morrell Creek will look like and when this project is scheduled to be awarded.

MDT District Administrator Ed Toavs said he won’t be able to come but would try to send a staff member. At press time no one has been designated.

Like always, there will be an opportunity for public comments on non-agenda items.

The informal part of the meeting will start at 5:30 p.m. next Monday, June 11, at the Seeley Lake Historical Museum and Visitors Center, 2920 Highway 83, with pizza and sodas. The formal meeting will begin at 6 p.m.
