Freshman Kinley Moore received the Outstanding Musician Award from Director Kristen Cottom for her beautiful clarinet tone. Cottom said she has so much potential as a musician.
Eric Lorentz on bass and Hunter Carpenter on baritone. This was Carpenter's first semester in band.
Senior Ron Klassen was one of four seniors that sang a solo during the choir's selections from "The Greatest Showman." He also received the Most Improved Award.
SEELEY LAKE – The Seeley-Swan High School Music Department hosted their spring concert and awards ceremony May 23. Students performed selections from their District Music festival and several others they worked on throughout the spring semester.
Musicians also received awards recognizing their accomplishments at the District and State Music Festivals, various achievement awards including Outstanding Musician, Outstanding Band or Choir Member, Director's Award and Most Improved selected by Director Kristen Cottom and their letters for Band and Choir.
Choir members who received letters: Taylor Dillree, Jordan Johnson, Amaya Harman, Amber Springer, Emma Stevenson, Hunter Shelmerdine, Chance Johnson, Lane Mackie-Wendel, Kyle Peltier, Addie Anderson, Maddie Davis, Amber Leetch and Korinne Treser.
Band members who received letters: Klaire Kovatch, Kinley Moore, Eric Lorentz, Jared Townsend, Aspen Conley and Jayla Kauffman.
