Don't Let a Quiet Demeanor Fool Ya

SEELEY LAKE - Shout out to the Seeley-Swan Community. I’m thinking Saturday night’s art auction, talent show and scholarship fundraiser was a success. The talent in this community is astonishing.

Regulars such as Trace and Mark wowed the folks as always...and Pete on the banjer and his wife Rachel on guitar did the same.

Two high school students did their own original poetry and Steve Fraker did original Cowboy verse.

A group of hand bellers hushed the crowd with quiet melodic bell music. How’d they do that? And more good stuff too numerous to mention. Scholarships were handed out to many young folks for outstanding work.

But.... the real reason is a duo that knocked my socks off. Andi Bourne and Erika Wison...omg. Now Erika has wowed us in the past with her cello...beautiful stuff. But Saturday night your Editor of this publication came out and sat a full drum set...Erika came out with her cello. What the? Erika sat, position her cello and loudly said, “Wipe Out .”

Andi lit up the drums like who done it and Erika did the melody! What a combination, one I mite add, that I couldn’t imagine. Andi just rocking the drum. Who knew the quiet although funny Editor in Chief and the cello (?) had ‘em dancing in the isles. Just a warning, don’t let a quiet demeanor fool ya.
