OVANDO – Ovando School shared about what they have learned this year about the United States Holidays and Explorers at their annual May Day Tea, May 17.
Through song and dance, the students took the audience on a journey across Europe visiting the Vikings, the Ottoman Empire, met King Charlemagne, saw the affects of the black plague and the changes the Renaissance period brought.
Head Teacher Leigh Ann Valiton said it has been a great year and appreciates all the students hard work, the community support and the funding they receive from the Ovando Community Education Endowment to support the arts and travels throughout the year.
