I am writing this letter to encourage citizens of House District 92 to vote for Duane “Cecil” Schlabach as our representative in the June 5th election.
Cecil is both a hunter and an outdoorsman who recognizes the importance of keeping public lands public. Cecil’s knowledge of public lands doesn’t just come from some random bullet points or having areas pointed out on a map. Duane “Cecil” Schlabach has done ranch work that has included extensive horse packing into the Bob Marshall. He’s additionally hiked and hunted on public lands. He’s sat in the saddle beside many Montanans. He extensively talked with people from many walks of life. Cecil has heard our heart for the land. He knows first hand the value Montanans put on public lands remaining available to the public for hunting, fishing, hiking and more.
Cecil is a teacher in the small rural town of Seeley Lake. Cecil recognizes the value of education and has seen it as a game changer in his own life. His upbringing did not provide him with schooling beyond eighth grade. As an adult, Duane “Cecil” Schlabach first pursued his GED, he then earned his bachelor’s teaching degrees in both English and History, and most recently, he is completing his master’s degree in educational leadership.
It is not surprising that he recognizes the necessity of strengthening education. He knows the difference education can make in a person’s life. Please recognize he will be a furious advocate for ensuring this for all Montanans.
Cecil also believes in responsible economic growth. He has pounded this home throughout his tenure serving for four years on the Seeley Lake Community Council.
Duane “Cecil” Schlabach has an incredible work ethic, his knowledge of civics and the constitution are impressive, but above all he is a person who listens.
Duane “Cecil” Schlabach has a strong desire to serve towards the betterment of Montana. He will listen to his constituents and represent Montana well.
