SEELEY LAKE – As I read the March 22 issue of the Pathfinder, I walk over to the wall and beat my head against it. I am very amazed how a board of individuals that are supposed to be representing the citizens of Seeley Lake have posted false info and did a protest in the middle of winter that was unconstitutional to the voters to try and pass the bonds there. This is very unprofessional and is deceptive practice by giving a number and not being honest to the voting people. The board has no idea of the routes needed for the project. So how can a bond be sold on an estimate that was never completed?
So what if three new board members came up with funding to upgrade the 41 septics that are supposed to be leaking in Phase 1 and required the people who want to develop land pay for their own septics instead of others paying for something they are going to sell to line their pockets?
So what if the project was 10 percent funded to where the low income and seniors didn’t have an assessment and could remain in Seeley instead of being forced out because they couldn’t afford living here?
So what if the people in Phase 1 were able to hook up to a system like Rovero’s has and be fully funded by granters and the leaking septics that are polluting the lake be upgraded at owner’s expense since this was sold as a pollution issue?
So what if all landowners were responsible for their own septic repairs?
I am laughing knowing that $40,000 was spent to educate the people and the district board has no clue of what’s going on.
The sewer is not a 100 percent guarantee to be installed. Don’t be brainwashed and think this is over. The current board has a high mountain ahead and this can be stopped.
The three candidates running for these seats will represent the people and your opinions matter. Juli Cole, Beth Hutchinson and myself have done numerous hours of studying this issue and the options that are available. So on May 8 vote for a change on the board and let’s make voices heard.
