Seeley Lake Community Foundation Awards Grants

SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley Lake Community Foundation continues to encourage local organizations to grow and improve the services in our community. Realizing such action requires resources, they once again awarded funding to several worthy causes.

This year’s grant recipients and projects include:

Seeley Lake Elementary School: Providing funds for “Circle of Security” parent training that enhances attachment in parent-child relationships.

• Seeley Lake Historical Museum and Visitor Center: Assisting with critical maintenance for the Seeley Lake Museum and Visitor Center.

• Seeley Lake Nordic Club: Supporting funds for equipment needed to maintain the high level of grooming excellence the Seeley Lake Nordic Trails are known for.

• Seeley-Swan High School: Providing funds to facilitate students using creative talents in journalism and art. This effort will result in publishing their third volume of “Back Roads of the Mind.”

• Missoula Aging Services: Supporting services that enable older adults and people with disabilities to stay independent and healthy.

• Alpine Artisans: Providing funds that will support community music concerts and teaching by outside professionals in our schools.

Seeley Lake Community Foundation is proud to be a catalyst for progress within the community. More than $14,000 was given to these projects.

The Foundation said, “Awarding grants to assist local organizations build and grow their services supports our mission and helps maintain our positive momentum, allowing everyone the pursuit of ‘Living in the mountains, reaching for the stars!’”
