SEELEY LAKE - My daughter, who is a second grade teacher, high school volleyball coach and serves in the Army National Guard, was called to duty fighting the Rice Ridge Fire the end of August through the first part of September. She had to leave her husband, classroom and volleyball team, however, she was ready to go and protect the town of Seeley. She was treated very well by the community members young and old and in-between!
On one of her first days on duty, two teenage girls brought my daughter and her battle buddy milkshakes on a very hot 90 degree day. An older gentleman brought Gatorades later on that hot day. Her post, by the Seeley Lake Motor Lodge, was the last one heading out of Seeley. Several community members and students brought pop, candy, pie, burgers, etc...the items were delivered daily with many handshakes and words of thanking her for her service!
My heart swelled with pride knowing my daughter was protecting the community of Seeley and in turn the community was taking care of my daughter! This says so much about your community!
In this season of giving Thanks, I knew I needed to get the recognition out and “Thank “ Seeley Lake of all ages! Happy Holidays & God Bless!
With sincere gratitude!
