Musical Pirates Performed

The middle school musical entitled "An Island Christmas" was presented at the Swan Valley School Winter Concert, Dec. 14. The pirates told the elves they wanted to plunder Santa's gifts. Santa told the pirates at the North Pole that they could have the gifts in the spirit of giving. They all became friends and sang together. Rebecca Klassen, NiKylie Vance, Camden Gleason, Ethan Kennedy, Noah Urban and Levi Boyd sang "Deck the Halls" and "Up on the Housetop" complete with gestures to enhance the songs at the Swan Valley School program Dec. 14.

Fourth grader Darby Gleason played a solo on the recorder as her classmates sang "Christmas Bells," "Over the River" and "Gently Sleep."

Swan Valley School's new music instructor Kristen Cottom introduced vocal and band renditions and the musical called "An Island Christmas."

Fifth grader Aubrey Matthew accompanied the fifth grade band as they played the "Dreidel Song," "Ode to Joy" and "Good King Wenceslas."

The fifth grade band including Rilyn Richardson on trumpet, Angela Ream on trombone and Tate McNutt on drums.
