Gary Freyholtz shot his 4X4 bull at 80 yards with a Winchester .30-06 rifle. After more than 42 years of hunting, this was Gary's first elk. "I couldn't be more happy for my dad," said Bryce. Gary and Bryce Freyholtz both shot a bull elk within 40 minutes of each other and 500 yards apart in the Swan Valley.

Owen Hoag shot this 4X4 mule deer on "Classified Ridge" near Seeley Lake Nov. 12. He dropped it with a single shot from a 270 Winchester at 78 yards. He also got his cow elk Nov. 10 at 211 yards with a single shot. It was his first elk.
