SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley-Swan Lady Blackhawks successfully defended their home court from the Pirates of Victor Oct. 14. The victory improves their record to 5-8 overall and 4-4 in conference.
The previous time the teams met, the Pirates got the upper hand winning in five games. After game one of the latest match went to the Pirates, 19-25, it was looking like it would be another close battle.
However, the Lady Blackhawks picked themselves up and came back with three wins in a row, 25-20, 25-19 and 25-17.
Ashley Miller led the Lady Blackhawks with 8 kills, 4 aces and a stuff block. Chloie Hanback, Chloe Robbins and Klaire Kovatch each had one stuff block as well. Autumn Morse led with 19 assists while Hanback had 14 digs.
This week the final home game of the season is against Valley Christian Oct. 19 with Senior Night starting at 5:30 p.m.
The team then has two games on the road, playing Granite Oct. 20 at 2 p.m. and Darby Oct. 21 with games starting at 4 p.m.
