SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley-Swan Lady Blackhawks had a busy week taking on Drummond and Lincoln on the road and Charlo at home. They fell to Drummond and Charlo but defeated Lincoln bringing their record to 4-5 overall and 3-2 in conference.
Versus Drummond
The Lady Blackhawks beat Drummond a week ago at home and looked to repeat the victory on the road Sept. 26. Drummond had other plans.
Drummond outscored the Lady Blackhawks nearly two to one in the first game with a score of 13-25. The Lady Blackhawks put up a better fight in game two but they still came up short, 19-25.
The Lady Blackhawks closed in even further in game three but it was not enough to push the match to a fourth game. Drummond took game three and with it the match, 23-25.
Autumn Morse and Emily Mercado each had 4 aces to led the Ladies serving efforts. Morse also led with 5 assists. Tanisha Rhoades had 15 digs while Ashley Miller led with 4 kills and Klaire Kovatch had 3 of the teams' 4 stuff blocks.
Versus Lincoln
The Lady Blackhawks took on the Lynx in Lincoln Sept. 28. They defeated the Lynx in a five game match a couple of weeks ago so they were expecting a good fight.
They put the Lynx down in game one, 25-13. Game two was looking like the Lynx were going to tie up the match as the Lady Blackhawks were trailing 6-18. Then a string of 17 serves from Chloie Hanback put the Lady Blackhawks back on top. They finished off the game, 25-20 and took the match after a solid 25-18 third game.
Autumn Morse was credited with all of the teams 19 assists and also led serving with 4 aces. Ashley Miller pounded in 11 kills and Tanisha Rhoades led with 9 digs. Miller, Hanback and Klaire Kovatch each had 1 stuff block.
Versus Charlo
The Lady Blackhawks had their hands full Sept. 30 as they hosted Charlo. They took game one 25-18 before Charlo swept three games in a row and took the match, 18-25, 15-25 and 17-25.
Autumn Morse got all of the Lady Blackhawks' 5 aces as well as 7 of the teams 8 assists. Klaire Kovatch scored 6 kills and 3 stuff blocks while Chloie Hanback led with 18 digs.
The Ladies have another busy week starting in Charlo Oct. 3 with games beginning at 5:30 p.m. They return home to host Darby at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 5 and Clark Fork Oct. 7 with games starting at 4 p.m.
