Winning Ticket Drawn for the VFSL Playhouse Raffle

SEELEY LAKE - The winning ticket for the Veterans and Families of Seeley Lake's (VFSL) playhouse was drawn Aug. 17 at the Seeley Lake Senior Citizen's Center. The winner was Shelley Hodne of Seeley Lake and Colorado!

The Hodne's sincerely appreciate the VFSL as they are a military family. Shelley retired from the Army and her husband Dave is still on active duty currently deployed in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve.

Their children, daughter Taylor (11) and son Matthew (9), were excited to win the playhouse. After giving them the news, Shelley said that her children talked amongst themselves and told her that they would like to give the playhouse to Addy Trevino instead of keeping it for themselves. They remembered that their grandparents (Tim and Sandy Berry of Seeley Lake) told them that their neighbors, the Trevino family, have a young daughter that is going through some very difficult health issues and they thought she and her sister would enjoy playing in the playhouse once they were home from the hospital.

The kids said, "We think Addy is a tough girl so this is a special house for a special girl. She and Miya will love it!"

The Veterans & Families of Seeley Lake applaud these thoughtful, young children for their very adult decision. The playhouse has been delivered and is ready for Addy and her sister Miya to have fun!
