SEELEY LAKE—Anne Beach, executive director for the Seeley Lake Community Foundation, had her last day on the job Aug. 1.
“Montana has been really good to us,” said Beach, who, along with her husband Alan is a Montana native. “We likely will be back to Montana sometime.”
Beach has served in her position since 2014 and will be moving to southwest Colorado to be closer to her family.
Beach lauded the opportunities she has had with the Foundation, including working with many of the non-profits, businesses and service organizations in Seeley Lake, as well as a dedicated board of directors.
“Where do we go from here, from this incredible platform she’s created for this organization?” said Board President Carla Schade. “She’s just been an incredible catharsis for the Seeley Lake Community Foundation—for the whole community—so it’s just like this void is suddenly appearing.”
The board of directors is in the recruiting process for a new executive director. The search will likely be localized to the immediate communities and then expanded through the state.
“From my perspective, most of the good work I’ve done has been around community and economic development,” said Beach. “I think it’s mostly due to the fact that there was someone here in an office at a desk in Seeley Lake… not so much to do with me but we had an open door.”
