SSHS Recognizes Blackhawk Seniors

SEELEY LAKE - Seeley-Swan High School (SSHS) recognized their senior basketball athletes and senior musicians along with their families at the last Blackhawk's home game of the season Saturday, Feb. 11 against Darby.

Gavin Mercado (Gavin was recognized at Senior Night but was not in attendance). He participated in football for four years lettering his second year. He played basketball for three years lettering in his third year. Gavin participated in Blackhawk athletics throughout his entire high school career including football for four years, lettering his second year and basketball for three years, lettering his third year. Gavin also participated in track all four years and choir one year. He received Academic All-state and was on the honor roll for all four years. After graduation, Gavin plans to attend Montana State University for Health and Education K-12 and plans on becoming a coach. Gavin gives a huge thanks to his mother. He wouldn’t be standing where he is right now without her and he wants her to know she raised a great man. Gavin also thanks his brothers for being the best brothers anyone could ask for, pushing him in athletics, education and in life.
