Lady Blackhawks on a Roll

SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley-Swan Lady Blackhawks rolled over three more teams last week. The victories extended their overall record to 6-1.

Versus Arlee

The Lady Blackhawks headed to Arlee to take on the Scarlets Jan. 5.

After a close first quarter, the Lady Blackhawks started pulling ahead and went into the second half sporting an eight-point lead.

The Ladies blew the game out in the second half, outscoring the Scarlets more than three to one. The final score was 42-20.

Tessa Grimes led the ladies with 11 points while Autumn Morse put up 10 points. Morse hit 2 of the teams 3, three-pointers and Grimes hit 3 for 3 from the free throw line.

Also scoring: Alex Bohlman 9; Cera Strumpfer 6; Mary Strumpfer 4 and Andi Bohlman 2.

Versus Lincoln

The Lady Blackhawks hosted the Lincoln Lynx Jan. 6 and showed no mercy. The Ladies dominated the game every quarter to a final score of 52-11.

Tessa Grimes led the assault on the Lynx with 12 points. Every Lady Blackhawk on the bench scored at least two. Autumn Morse hit half the teams' 4, three-pointers for her 6 points.

The game was fairly clean with each team only giving the other two chances from the free-throw line. Grimes hit 2 of 2 for the Lady Blackhawks.

Also scoring: Stevi Meade 6; Terra Bertsch 5; Cera Strumpfer 5; Alex Bohlman 4; Mary Strumpfer 4; Andi Bohlman 4; Lauryn Barnes 2; Jory Towe 2 and Chloe Robbins 2.

Versus Charlo

The Lady Blackhawks took on Charlo at home Jan. 7.

The Ladies got off to a slow start. They held Charlo to just 4 points the first quarter but came up empty handed themselves. It was nearly half way through the second quarter before the Lady Blackhawks put any points on the board but managed to head into the half leading by two.

The Lady Blackhawks continued to pick up steam and had a better second half. They extended their lead to five by the end of the third quarter.

The Ladies sealed the deal in the final quarter holding Charlo to just one while putting up nine points. The final score was 31-18.

Alex Bohlman had 10 points to lead the Ladies. Alex sank 3 of 4 free throws, a three-pointer and a pair of two-pointers.

Also scoring: Tessa Grimes 8; Andi Bohlman 4; Mary Strumpfer 4; Cera Strumpfer 3 and Stevi Meade 2.
