A big Thank You to all who helped with our bake sale in October. To the ones who brought baked goods and to those who came and bought the great baked goods. Also, thank you to our great boosters who donated cash. The donations were so welcome, needed and appreciated.
There is a lot of work going on at the Paws Up Animal Shelter headed by Rod Stevens Construction. It is very needed. Thanks Rod, Kathy and crew. Hopefully, Hazel will have time for a big opening to the public in early spring when it’s warmer.
Once again we have dogs running on Redwood and Spruce and possibly from Phase 2 on Double Arrow. If you see a dog running, you must call Animal Control as these dogs are getting in trouble!
If you have visitors and they have dogs and let them run, remind them our dog rules are the same as Missoula’s. I know you cannot have a fence on Double Arrow but you can have an electric fence. There is no excuse for a running dog. If you come to Seeley Lake, bring your dog and are working, you cannot let it run!
I will be sending a check to our local Food Bank to help buy cat food out of our Ed Jackson Helping Animals fund. I would like to ask that as many as possible out there also contribute cat food to the Food Bank. Please buy a good quality cat and dog food. The cheap food is only filler. Cats and dogs need a good brand such as Pro-Pac, Purina or other high rated food as it has vitamins and very essential nutrients to help them stay warm.
Please remember, people who are struggling love their pets and need them for comfort. Life can be a little rough for all of us at times, so let’s help all we can. Let’s acquire empathy for others and not forget it.
Well, we have turkey days ahead and then onto Christmas. Hopefully it will be four more years before any more politics. What a shameful event!
Well, I now wish all of you health, happiness and with this saying I read, “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning how to dance in the rain.”
Thanks to all.
