The Seeley Lake Seniors offered their raffle bags and other items for sale. Coordinator Rachel Wilkinson was happy with the amount that was raised to support the senior programs.

SEELEY LAKE – The Seeley Lake Seniors hosted their annual bazaar Saturday, Nov. 12 with something for everyone. With 31 vendors, a snack bar and a Kids Corner, no one left empty handed.
This is one of the major fundraisers for the Seeley Lake Senior Center. Coordinator Rachel Wilkinson said they had 21 volunteers plus SSHS students and all the helpers at the Kids Corner. Volunteers helped set up and take down the event as well as staffed the senior's raffle table and snack bar.
An assortment of baked goods and preserves from various organizations lined tables. Knitted hats and purses, jewelry, woodcarvings and stained glass windows were just a few of the items for sale as gifts or personal treasures. Seeley Lake Fire Chief and volunteer firefighters handed out smoke alarms and fire prevention goodies to the children.
Several of the tables were fundraisers for students going on trips. The Seeley Lake Elementary junior high students were raising funds to go to Washington, D.C. Grace Wilson sold baked goods and handmade items to help fund her mission trip to Malawi this summer. Seeley-Swan High School student Ariana Castillon was selling homemade pies to raise money so she can go to Italy as an exchange student her senior year.
"We had a great show despite competing with three other craft shows in the area," said Wilkinson. "We had a great group of volunteers and everyone seemed to have a good time."
