SEELEY LAKE - I have tried to start this letter at least a dozen times and every time my words don’t seem adequate. I have come to realize that there is truly no way to express how thankful Randy and I are for all the kindness and support that we were blessed to receive in the days and months after Mark’s passing. We are humbled by the outpouring of love and caring from all our friends and our community. You saved us from the brink of despair.
From that first day when we were surrounded by friends, you have all wrapped us in your love and it has allowed us to travel through this journey and come to a place of peace. The events of that morning are as much a mystery today as they were then but we know in time we will all be together again and our questions will be answered. Thank you all for helping us get to this place of acceptance.
Thank you to each and every person that reached out to us with kind words, your company, a meal or a phone call. You made each day possible and helped us find our way in our grief journey.
Some went so far beyond that they need to be recognized. Thank you to our families, to my mom and dad, and especially my sister who is the wind beneath my wings.
Thank you to the first responders and law enforcement for handling the situation with compassion and professionalism.
Thanks to generosity of friends we had a home all winter while ours was being renovated.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all the people that helped financially with the renovation of our home. Thank you to everyone involved with the construction and countless others for giving us our home back.
Thank you to all the businesses that discounted their time and their materials that allowed us to renovate our home and make it a good place again.
Thanks to everyone that joined us for the bonfire and gathering after the funeral.
Thank you to our 4-H community for your incredible support and for making the scholarship in Mark’s name a reality.
Thank you to all our friends and co-workers for your ongoing understanding and patience.
Thank you to our Kozy Korner family, your love and support kept us moving forward even when we didn’t want to.
And to my posse of women: I couldn’t do it without you!
And so, in closing, know that each one of you is a blessing to us. Thank you so much…
Randy, Sharon, Jackie and Matt Teague
