Swan Song
SEELEY LAKE - Angie, 39, of Philomath, Ore. passed to Spirit Oct. 27 surrounded by her parents and her brother in her family home in Seeley Lake.
She was born Nov. 21, 1976 in Spokane, Wash. to Susan Heagy & Bill Kimmel.
Her mother moved to Seeley Lake in 1991 where Angie attended and graduated from Seeley-Swan High School at the top of her class in 1994. She was active in clubs, a member of the varsity cheerleading squad and an honor roll student every year.
She proceeded to college at Montana State University (MSU) in Bozeman, Mont. then continued to work on her MBA degrees for Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math and Accounting while always staying at the top of her class. Angie was awarded several prestigious scholarships for graduate school.
In 2011, she moved to Philomath, Ore. where she found work as an accountant at the corporate headquarters of National Intramural and Recreational Sports Association (N.I.R.S.A.). She met many wonderful friends in Oregon and knew that it would always be her home because of her love for the ocean, outdoor exploration and education; it was the perfect fit for her active lifestyle.
Angie's laughter has filled many hearts over the past 39 years. Her close friends and family will tell you just how funny they tried to be to feel this special kind of magic that happened when her laugh was heard.
Angie's view of the world was so unique; you could find it in her art; from her breathtaking photography of nature or heartfelt family photos, her hand-painted canvass masterpieces, her simply elegant crochet, her detailed and well thought out gardens or her intricate web and published graphic art projects. Talent was hers.
If all of that wasn't enough to keep her more than occupied, Angie was a strong marathon runner. She started running here in Seeley Lake with her best friend Becky Kyle. Angie finished more than 40 marathons in five states but mostly in Oregon where she trained and ran with her friends and her faithful doggy Kali who was the love of her life.
Angie's love of her family will never be lost. She was a loving daughter and granddaughter, the perfect sister, best cousin and proudest aunt that anyone could ask for.
Angie is survived by her mother Sue Heagy (Jeff Heagy); father Bill Kimmel; brother Jeff Kimmel (Jessica and Kayden Kimmel); grandmother Naomi Chadwell; grandparents Don and Marlene Heagy, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins on both sides of her family.
