Montana Ranch Owner Leaves Impact in Seeley Lake

SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley Lake Community Foundation (SLCF) is pleased to announce the donation of property at the Double Arrow Meadows Golf Course from Pat and Nina Brock.

Pat Brock said, “After owning a ranch in Ovando for 20 years, we fell in love with the whole area and the people. We gave our gift because we felt so close to the communities and it was the right thing to do.”

SLCF Vice President Kevin Wetherell said, “This generous gift of land from the Brocks, was a win-win for all. The Brocks took the opportunity to extend their legacy by donating the land and receiving some tax advantages. The Seeley Lake Community Foundation will use proceeds from the eventual sale of the property to fortify non-profit organizations endeavors in the Seeley Lake area.”

The SLCF plays a unique role in this small powerhouse community. In a town without a consolidated government, the SLCF has evolved as a clearinghouse for knowledge of community needs and opportunities, as a hub for charitable giving and a mechanism for savvy, collaborative solutions to local issues.

SLCF Board President, Carla Schade said, “We are delighted to receive this real property and encourage community members to contact the Community Foundation office with questions on how you can leave a lasting impact in Seeley Lake, Montana.”

The SLCF engages philanthropy, provides leadership, enhances the quality of life and economic vitality of the Seeley Lake area.
