I endorse Addrien Marx for House District 92 because of her long experience as a successful businesswoman in Seeley Lake, because she values wild country and because she has stepped up to the plate to serve our communities in many ways.
Addrien knows that if we are to have vibrant communities in rural Montana with good jobs and schools, we need to protect the recreation opportunities that open lands provide and that fuel our economy. Our livelihoods and our sense of well-being depend on our ability to maintain our clear lakes and streams, access for hunting and fishing, trails for hiking, camping, skiing and snowmobiling and habitat for wild animals.
Addrien has made her living in the balance of industry and wild land protection. As a Seeley Lake resident, she knows firsthand the importance of maintaining a viable timber and recreation economy, while protecting and sustaining our natural resources.
Addrien has committed much of her life to enriching our lives. If she is not out hiking or skiing the trails around Seeley Lake, she is likely to be found with her sleeves rolled up at a committee table striving to solve problems and create opportunities. Addrien has worked to improve education in our schools by serving on the Missoula County School Board. She has chaired the Seeley Lake Community Council and Seeley Lake Community Foundation. She has been a trustee for the Historical Museum at Fort Missoula because she understands the value of protecting and sharing our cultural heritage. Addrien is on the Missoula County Open Lands Committee where she works to help property owners voluntarily protect their open lands.
Addrien has the life experiences, the skills and the intelligence necessary to maintain the balance between industry and wildland protection. She is the best qualified candidate for House District 92.
