Swan Song

SEELEY LAKE - Anneliese K. Kennedy, 91, passed away early Saturday morning at Missouri River Nursing Home in Great Falls, Mont.

Anneliese was born in Stettin, Germany Nov. 30, 1924, a town later destroyed in World War II. Fortunate to have vacated on a Red Cross train where she served as a nurse and meeting her beloved husband George Kennedy (30 years of service in the U.S. Air Force) in 1950, where he was stationed at the time in Germany. He preceded her in death after 50 years of marriage in 2001.

Anneliese is the daughter of Wilhelm Herman Ebelt and Kathe Borchadrt of Germany. She has two brothers Klause Ebelt, Overath, Germany, and Mumphrey Ebelt, Frankfort, Germany and one sister, Erica located in Berlin. They have seven children between them.

Raising three sons, and supporting George who served multiple tours of duty in more than 30 countries, Anneliese and George  returned to the USA stationed in Vandenberg Calif., until subsequently retiring and relocating to Cape Canaveral Florida. Though retired, George went on to work at NASA for 20 more years under the Department of Defense contracts. Later again after finally permanently retiring, Anneliese and George moved to the mountains of east Tennessee in 1983 where they resided until 2000. Then relocated west to Seeley Lake where their son Scott lived.

Anneliese stayed busy raising three sons. Her first, Robert W. Kennedy, born in Frankfort, Germany Sept. 8th, 1951. Robert enlisted in 1969 in the Underwater Demolition Team (UDT) program. He become an elite Navy Seal Team 1 member that year. He was based initially at Coronado, Calif., subsequently retiring to Florida working with the Budweiser Racing. He is now located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Anneliese has five grandchildren from Robert.

Francis A Kennedy, was born in Mobile Alabama April 16th, 1954. He graduated from military college as an Army Ranger/Airborne division. He has resided in Milledgeville, Geo. since 1980 and is currently a contractor. Anneliese also has five grandchildren (one deceased) from Francis.

Scott Kennedy, was born in Mobile, Alabama, June 4, 1961. He currently resides in Seeley Lake, Mont.

When not taking her sons to all their various school sports, baseball, football, swimming and surfing, Anneliese enjoyed the beaches and later exploring the vast mountains and rivers by Jeep. She also loved camping, fishing and exploring the various National Parks. Gardening, sewing and reading novels of the great west and history were everyday parts of life. She was kind and generous to everyone she would meet and come to know.

Anneliese will be dearly missed. No services will be held at her request.
