Burned Area Recovery Work to Begin for Morrell Complex

SEELEY LAKE - Work to recover areas impacted by last summer's Morrell Complex Fire on the Seeley Lake Ranger District has begun and is expected to continue until mid to late-July. The work includes some road reconstruction and culvert replacement on Forest Road #720, Rice Ridge Road.

The specific location for the road reconstruction and culvert replacement work will between mile marker 17.8 - 21.3.

The road reconstruction work will cause delays and slow speeds for vehicles in the area of the work. Once that work is completed, four culverts will be replaced in the same area. During the culvert replacements, this section of road will be closed temporarily, causing short delays.

Those interested in accessing the Forest area served by road #720 are being advised to use an alternate route – Forest Road #667, Richmond Ridge Road.

For updated information on this work please contact the Seeley Lake Ranger District at 406-677-2233.
