Seeley Golf Plays Steve Hullett Invitational

BIGFORK - The weather was beautiful and warm for the Blackhawks as they hit the greens Thursday, April 7, for their second meet of the season. Six Blackhawk golfers headed out to improve their game and they did. The boys finished in seventh place at the Bigfork Invitational with a team score of 376.

Junior McKinley Nicholas, the Blackhawks' number one golfer, led the team, Thursday, with his score of 85. Close behind were seniors Jacob Haley and Joshua Cahoon who added their scores of 91 and 93 to the total team score.

Head Coach Wayne Cahoon said, "We didn't play our best, but we're getting better every week. We took 16 strokes off of last week's score, so we're steadily improving, and that's what we want."

Coach Cahoon also mentioned that boys got right back to work as soon as they arrived home, playing nine holes that night, to prepare for next week's match.

Junior Jessie Hood was the lone lady to compete for the Blackhawks Thursday. Hood was unable to attend the season opener last week, so Thursday in Bigfork was her first competition of the year. She started her season off with a score of 136 but she's putting in the work to bring that score down.
