Seeley Lake Community Trail Update

SEELEY LAKE - Snowbanks have become a rare commodity on the local Seeley Lake community trails. The trails were not unscathed but didn’t suffer a great deal of blowdown from the big blow last fall. However there are a few trees that will need cut from the trails by our volunteer clearing elves this spring. Anyone wanting to exercise their chopping or sawing skills are welcome to take a walk on the west side trails or around the high school. They are easy to hop across if you want that kind of exercise.

The newly graveled trail around Seeley-Swan High School has set up fairly well and ready for use (unless April showers become extreme.) Please refrain from use if your boots, bike tires or horse hooves make a depression in the gravel with your first few steps.

 The centerline of a new pathway along Locust Lane (Airport Road) to Tamarack Drive has been staked. A contract has been awarded.

This mosquito preseason is a wonderful time to enjoy the great outdoors in our backyard. Remember to flick a stick or kick a rock to help keep our trails clear. Report conditions that are beyond your self-help ability.
