Swan Song

SEELEY LAKE - Kevin Lynn Frye, 54, of Bremerton, Wash. passed away Jan. 24, 2016. Kevin was born Jan. 17, 1962 in Renton, Wash. to Danny Carl and Barbara Jean (Liston) Frye.

A graduate of Seeley-Swan High School in Seeley Lake, Kevin went on to enlist in the US Navy. He received certifications as an Aviation Electrician and in Aviation Management and Maintenance Material Management. At the time of his death, Kevin achieved the rank of Master Chief and served in Desert Storm II operations as well as Operations "Enduring Freedom" & "Iraqi Freedom". He was stationed in the Philippines for 10 years, San Diego, Calif. for seven years, Japan for nine years, and lastly Bremerton for four years. He earned numerous decorations that included two Meritorious Service Medals, three Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, five Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, three Joint Meritorious Unit Awards, Navy Unit Commendation, Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy "E" Ribbon, and eight Navy Good Conduct Medals. After retiring from his career with the US Navy, Kevin took work as a Logistics SME for Corsair Engineering.

In his free time, Kevin enjoyed riding motorcycles, shooting guns, anything about Vietnam and old Westerns. He loved his family and two dogs - Cali and Charlie and was an avid Seahawks fan.

Kevin's memory will live on with his loving wife, Vicki Frye of Bremerton; parents Dan and Barbara Frye of Seeley Lake; sons Curtis and Michael Frye of Edmonds, Wash.; daughters Stephanie and Kimberly Frye of Bremerton, and Melissa Frye of Manila, Philippines; brother Randy Frye of Whidbey Island, Wash.; sister Teresa Cahoon of Seeley Lake; and one upcoming grandson.
