Ahhh…rains throughout the summer, no more fires!
Thanks for the donations. Paws Up Safe Home Animal Shelter of Potomac and the Seeley-Swan Community Food Bank can always use dog and cat food and all other donations. A special thank you to Vicki Scalise for her donation to The Ed Jackson (helping Pets Fund) and Barry and Carolyn Scalise for their donation in honor of Ed Jackson and Vicki Scalise. We so needed those donations.
Pat Shane caught five cats and had them spayed or neutered plus shots. We also are helping two other couples get their cats spayed.
Deep sympathy to Becky Robbins who lost one of her big dogs. The big guy was 14-15 years old. No matter the age, it’s always very hard and sad to loose a pet.
There is a brindle pit bull running on Cedar Lane quite often. We also have a red and white with speckles on the neck running on Morrell Creek Road and the SOS area. People, when you take a dog, you are to take care of them and make sure they are fed, warm and loved. You can’t say you love them and let them run where they face danger. Keep them home, teach and love them.
Have your dogs and cats had their distemper shot? Get it done. Distemper is deadly!
I must compliment The Junior Journal and the great job of writing. It is very good.
I was really impressed, by Hunter Shelmerdine’s article on wolves. If more people would read the history of wolves, they would not be so gun-ho on killing one.
I have a book called “Of Wolves and Men.” This author traced wolves hundreds of years back. And once again, wolves and elk will balance out with nature if left alone without human intervention. The wolves will leave cattle alone, in most cases, as long as there are elk. So wolves kill elk. It’s better than rounding the elk up with four wheelers where they can’t escape and men with guns slaughter them. Ask the Fish, Game and Wildlife what their plan is!!!!
Thanks and Blessings
