Lake Country Builders, Inc.

Goal: The mission of Lake Country Builders is to be a customer-driven building contractor. By focusing on the customer, the business can thrive and the employees can have a good working environment.

History: The business in its first iteration started in 1979. In 1993, Lake Country Builders incorporated and its two partners Mark Williams and Tim Tanberg formed the corporation.

In the early years, winter work was rare and Williams' annual pilgrimage to work in the ski business helped keep him gainfully employed. After kids and realizing building was paying better than skiing, Lake Country Builders became a year-round operation.

Currently, in addition to the two partners, there are between three and six employees depending on work volume. The business operates out of the home with a shop and office space used at times on Tamarack Drive.

"The ultimate reason for Lake Country Builders is for us to be able to live and work in the community of Seeley Lake," said Williams. "Past customers and clients have become friends and share the common love of community." 

Products & Services Offered: As a full-time building contractor, Lake Country Builders offer services and oversight of all phases of building construction. Jobs range from building deck additions and remodels to large custom homes. In addition, they offer construction management services to clients simply wanting oversight of projects.

Williams said they been custom builders and small commercial builders. Some of the commercial work they have done includes Pop's Drive In, Citizens Alliance Bank and the Seeley Lake Motor Lodge. They also had a custom log home they built on the Blackfoot River featured in "Log Home Living" magazine.
