Swan Song
SEELEY LAKE - Patricia Louise Ogden, 76, of Seeley Lake, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded with loving family by her side Nov. 4.
Patricia was born Feb. 13, 1939, in Philipsburg, Mont., to Willard and Willma Bruns. She attended Philipsburg schools and graduated in 1957. While in high school, she was a member of the Rainbow Girls, Order of Eastern Star Pearl Chapter 14 and Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW [Veterans of Foreign Wars] for many years. She was a member of the Episcopal Church and also taught Sunday school.
As a young girl, she loved spending time with family. She made many trips to Deer Lodge to the family ranch with her parents and siblings to visit and spend time with her many aunts, uncles and cousins.
After graduating high school, she went to Spokane, Wash., where she attended business college. When she returned to Montana, she practiced nursing in hospitals in Butte, Helena and Philipsburg.
She loved traveling with her husband Bill to Nevada, where she could sightsee and visit family.
She loved collecting treasures of many kinds, which she eagerly shared with her children and grandchildren and her special birthday cards will be especially missed by all of them. Her husband, children and grandchildren were her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her mother Willma Bruns; her father Willard Bruns and daughter Terrina Shanks.
Survivors include: her husband Bill of Seeley Lake; daughter, Deborah Smith, Philipsburg; son, Earl Ogden, Seeley Lake; and daughter Jo Ogden, Seeley Lake; sister Wynette Johnson, Kalispell; and brothers, Bill Bruns, Philipsburg, and John Bruns, Alaska. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
There will be memorial service and gathering in July 2016.
