    The Blackhawks Cross Country team took to the course twice this week setting new personal bests. Sophomore Conner Chadwick and Senior Hunter Coyle participated in both meets, the first in Arlee and the second in Polson.     The Seeley-Swan Lady Blackhawks had no mercy on Victor or Drummond last week. They defeated both teams in three sets and did not allow either team to score more than 15 points in a set.     SEELEY LAKE – The Blackhawks hosted the Thompson Falls Blue Hawks Sept. 24 and suffered their first loss of the season. The first minutes of the game were disastrous for the Blackhawks setting a grim tone for the rest of the game.     THOMPSON FALLS, MONTANA – The Seeley-Swan High School Cross Country team took to the course in Thompson Falls Thursday, Sept. 23. Head Coach Shawn Holmes said it was a beautiful day for the meet and the team ran well. Sophomore Conner Chadwick led the Blackhawks finishing in 67th with a time of 22:58.65.     TROY – The Blackhawks made the trek to Troy to take on the Trojans Sept. 18. The 200-mile trip didn’t seem to hurt the Blackhawks as they charged to a 40-point lead in the first half. They didn’t let up in the second half finishing the Trojans off 72-8. Owen Hoag completed 7 of 12 passes for 118 yards while Ben Haley connected 1 of 2 passes for 27 yards. Tuesday, Sept. 14 they took to the course for the Mission Invitational at St. Ignatius High School earning a place on the podium and setting two new personal records.
