Previously, Vernon and his wife Joanne lived in the Swan Valley for 20 years and for many years before that they made frequent visits to the Valley. SWAN VALLEY - Rollie R. Bigley age 76 passed away Nov. 29, 2015 in San Diego, Calif. He was born Dec. 15, 1938 in Hardin, Mont. His family then moved to Kalispell and later to San Diego where he would eventually serve in the Military Reserves as a Marine. He lived in San Diego most of his life until he moved back to Montana and bought Liquid Louie’s Bar in Condon in 1987. SEELEY LAKE - Kevin Lynn Frye, 54, of Bremerton, Wash. passed away Jan. 24, 2016. Kevin was born Jan. 17, 1962 in Renton, Wash. to Danny Carl and Barbara Jean (Liston) Frye. SEELEY LAKE - Bud Berckmoes passed away peacefully Dec. 26. He was born in Fromberg, Mont. to Remy and Elizabeth (Schleinning) Berckmoes Nov. 15, 1931. Ryan was born May 30, 1992 to Robert Greenwood and Rendie Connell, in Missoula, Mont. They made their home in Seeley Lake, MT for four years. SEELEY LAKE – Born May 9, 1931, at home in the small town of Mekinock, N.D., it was debated for years whether Rodney Allen Kvamme actually arrived on Mother's Day or not. His mother Hilda Kvamme and father Martin Kvamme debated for years as to the actual day, as it was never actually recorded on his official birth certificate until the late 1960s in order to establish a passport. We’ve missed him for a few years and were saddened to hear of the passing of long time Seeley Lake resident and Seeley Lake Historical Society supporter, Pastor Rod Kvamme. Rod was instrumental in forming the Seeley Lake Writers Club and acted as chair of the informal group, providing advice and encouragement.
