Food Bank needs volunteers SEELEY LAKE – The Seeley-Swan Community Food Bank is in need of volunteers. They would be asked to work one Tuesday a month from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Until COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, customers are not coming into the Food Bank. They call ahead and place an order or fill out a form requesting the food they need. Food is bagged and placed on a table outside for them to load in their vehicle. Missoula County will distribute up to $625,000 in grant funding to help local businesses impacted by the pandemic retain jobs for low- and moderate-income employees through the COVID-19 Small Business Job Retention Fund. The Missoula City-County Board of Health, at its Dec. 17 meeting, will consider adopting by rule several or all of the COVID-19 directives issued by Governor Steve Bullock this year. The Lions perform various fundraisers throughout the year to raise money to purchase turkey dinners, with all the trimmings for those in need. POLSON - Lake County’s Solid Waste Board reviewed public comments made at an October County Commissioners public hearing in Swan Lake regarding the closure of the Porcupine Dump site, at Porcupine Creek along Highway 83, during their meeting at Polson City Court on Wednesday, Nov. 18.
