POTOMAC – Just after 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, Greenough-Potomac Volunteer Fire Department was paged to a structure fire on Swanson Lane. Nearly 20 volunteer firefighters from Potomac and Missoula Rural responded and the scene was secured just after midnight. SEELEY LAKE – The Seeley Lake Fourth of July committee had their first meeting last week to begin the planning for this year’s celebration. Thanks to the Seeley Lake Area Chamber of Commerce’s support, they are looking forward to hosting the annual parade and fireworks on Monday, July 4. SEELEY LAKE – Game wardens with Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks are increasing law enforcement efforts on wildlife management areas while seasonal closures continue for many of these areas. The Blackfoot-Clearwater Wildlife Management Area (WMA), aka the Game Range, remains closed until 12 p.m. May 15. Even though it was dark, they could see there was a large bear outside their tent.
