    Register Early for the Snow Joke, Caps Out at 1,000 Runners SEELEY LAKE - After last year’s unprecedented turnout of more than 800 runners, this year’s Snow Joke Half Marathon scheduled in Seeley Lake Feb. 27 looks poised to attract an even bigger field. Race organizers announced they will cap participation at 1,000 to ensure the safety of runners on the road and ease logistics. This decision may limit race day registration.     Seeley Lake Volunteers Climbing for a Cure SEELEY LAKE - Seeley Lake Fire Department volunteers Kristy Pohlman and Shawn Ellinghouse are gearing up for their fourth Scott Firefighter Stairclimb in Seattle, March 6. Pohlman and Ellinghouse, along with approximately 1,600 other firefighters, will race 788 vertical feet and 1,311 steps to the top of the Columbia Center in downtown Seattle in full bunker gear.     POTOMAC - The Potomac/Greenough Community Center (PGCC) in Potomac is undergoing changes and improvements. Jeanne Hall, PGCC chair, said the projects will support and benefit all the groups that use the center. The center has been in use since 1978.
