The Blackhawks didn't let the cool temperatures get to them as the Ladies earned 72.4 team points for fourth place and the Boys took 37 team points for sixth.     The Seeley-Swan Blackhawks golf team started their week out in Ronan April 11 before heading to Bigfork April 14. McKinley Nicholas and Jessie Hood continue to make the top ten list. Nicholas’s 75 strokes at Ronan earned him second while he tied for fourth with 83 strokes at Bigfork. Hood shot a 104 in Ronan for sixth place and a 107 for tenth place at Bigfork.     CORVALLIS - The Seeley-Swan Blackhawks took on 19 teams ranging from Class C all the way to AA at the Darby/Florence Invitational April 6. The team then headed to the Frenchtown Invitational April 8 and faced competition from nine Class A, seven Class B and seven Class C schools. The Blackhawks earned 44 team points placing them in fourth at Corvallis while on the girls side, the Lady Blackhawks took fifth with 41.83 points.     PLAINS - The Seeley-Swan Blackhawks golf team headed to Plains April 8. The Blackhawks only fielded three golfers but made their mark with two of them scoring in the top 10. McKinley Nicholas completed the par 72 course in just 80 strokes. He finished 7 strokes behind the top spot and tied for third. Shane Lindemer missed the top 15 by just one stroke with a score of 99.     FRENCHTOWN - The Seeley-Swan Blackhawks' track season began March 30 at the Jim Johnson Invitational in Frenchtown. Nineteen A, B and C class teams competed.     HAMILTON - The Seeley-Swan Blackhawks golf team took on Hamilton Golf Club’s course in the opening meet of the season. The March 31 event featured Class B and C schools. The Blackhawks smoked the Class C competition with 285 strokes. It was a 35-stroke margin over second place, Plains at 320. Darby finished third with 406 strokes.     SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley-Swan High School (SSHS) winter sports awards banquet was held March 14 at Seeley-Swan High School. The banquet was held to present varsity letters, pins, chevrons, All-Conference and Academic All-State awards to members of the SSHS varsity winter sports team members.     SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley Lake Elementary (SLE) Board discussed a projected budget deficit and SLE Outside’s balance sheet at the Feb. 21 meeting. The board also received a board member’s resignation and has an upcoming election for two board positions. Next year’s budget is projected to be about $5,000 short of this year’s.     SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley Lake Sewer Board was updated on the status of their grants and their appeal to the United States Department of Agriculture, Rural Development (RD) at their Feb. 16 board meeting. District Manager Greg Robertson said that the approximately $2.5 million in grants the district currently has from multiple sources would remain intact pending a decision from RD.
